Our Values

We believe in teaching kids to be true to themselves, accepting of others and to give back to the community that supports them. We hope to nurture our child’s curiosity into a life-long love of learning. We think routines and loving limits are good for kids. And pets are a great way to teach children to be caring and loyal.

Most of all, we want our kid to be able to make friends. If we help our child develop the social skills to cultivate deep and lasting relationships, he or she can grow into a happy adult. The rest is gravy!

Open Adoption

We believe that all children need to know where they come from, which is why open adoption makes so much sense to us. It is very important to us to be able to look our son or daughter in the eye and say ‘we became your parents in the most honest way we knew how and your birthmom participated fully in deciding what was best for you.’ We promise our child will grow up knowing that they are loved by all of their moms. In fact, we are hoping you will be a part of our child’s life, so you’ll be able to show them yourself. For us, there is no such thing as too many adults to love a child.

We are open to adopting a child of any race or ethnicity. If we end up adopting a child of color, we know that they will need strong role models and connections to their community. We will start with our friends and family who are a diverse bunch, but will also build on those connections so that our child can grow up proud of their heritage.
